Specific notice
At relevant collection points NPTR must identify the controller, information sought, specified purposes, relevant processing basis, versioned notice, withdrawal method where consent is used, and complaint route in a clear standalone notice before the applicable statutory start date. Essential contractual/account processing must be distinguished from optional advertising or portfolio consent. Contract necessity must not be misrepresented as blanket consent.
Separate permissions
Marketing, public client identification, scientific figures, underlying numbers, patents and interactive previews are not presumed consent. Each optional permission is independent, default off and revocable where applicable.
Records and changes
The platform retains the actor, version, choice and timestamp, and seeks fresh permission for material new purposes where law requires it. An amendment to website text cannot retrospectively change an accepted contract.
