Cancellation, Refunds & Non-Delivery Guarantee

Cancellation before work commencement
Clients may cancel at any time before actual billable work begins and receive a 100% refund of the advance for that scope, including any unused urgent-start charge. This remains true if the normal waiting period has elapsed but work has not commenced.
Cancellation after work starts
On receipt of cancellation, new billable work is suspended, except reasonable steps to preserve materials and close the project securely. The Company may retain only a justified, itemised amount attributable to work already completed up to the cancellation request, calculated from agreed rates or milestones and contemporaneous evidence; the unused balance is refunded.
Company non-delivery
If NPT Research fails to deliver agreed contracted work attributable to the Company, it will refund 100% of the relevant failed contracted project payment. Internal effort already spent is not deducted under this non-delivery guarantee. A separately contracted and completed phase is treated under its own agreed terms.
Scientific results versus delivery
A scientifically valid result contrary to a client's expectation is not inherently non-delivery if the expressly promised work and acceptance criteria were performed. Documented non-conformity and genuine failure to deliver remain subject to remedy and refund.
Disputes, refunds and taxes
The client may challenge a work valuation and request a reasoned review. Bank refunds require authorised approval and verification of beneficiary account, cleared outbound transfer and applicable GST adjustment. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
